About
Our school, 2nd Lykeo of Kalamata, is a small general high-school of about 200 students aged from 15 to 18 years but we like to act big. It is located in the eastern part of the city and our students come from different walks of life and various social and economic backgrounds. Apart from that our students come from different parts of the world making up a multicultural society. That’s why we, as teachers, try to make them realize the importance of living together and appreciate difference and diversity as the very substance of life.
The staff is keenly interested in providing the best educational services by
implementing both formal and non-formal teaching practices. In that sense, our school’s participation in Erasmus+ projects provide hands-on experience and stimulation to both teachers and students leading us to paths that are just being charted for us but happy to follow.
Our school’s mentality is focused on being extrovert that’s why we are firmly committed to broaden the European orientation of both our staff and students. The European identity of our school is being established with the cooperation with other colleagues around Europe through Erasmus KA1 and KA2 actions and the seeking of innovative methods that will help them renew and upgrade their teaching skills. Last but not least, our school applied and was granted the Erasmus+ Accreditation 2021-2027.
